本文說明如何翻譯文章為其他語言。請確定你也閱讀了最後一節：重要事項。

第一步：語言縮寫

比如說，假如你要翻譯下面這一頁為德文：

Development/Tutorials

德語的縮寫為 de，因此，所有的文章都會以｢ (de)｣結尾（前面有一個空格）。

參考：語言縮寫列表。

第二步：建立文章

有時語言導航列中已經有對應的連結。在這種情況下，只要點擊你要翻譯的連結就可以了。否則，請手動建立文章：

Development/Tutorials (de)

請使用對應的英語頁面作為初始內容。這樣不會遺漏內容，並且其他讀者能夠幫助翻譯。

第三步：語言導航列

文章中必須包含下列樣版，才能顯示語言導航列：

這神奇的一行會擴展成 Development/Tutorials 文章的語言導航列。注意，這一行不包含語言縮寫。

第四步：找不到語言？

如果找不到語言，請搜尋正確的縮寫（請見第一步）。在這個範例中縮寫是｢ (de)｣。

編輯 Template:I18n/Language Navigation Bar 並且加入你想翻譯的語言：

替換 'de' 為（你想翻譯的）語言縮寫，並且改寫顯示名稱。

重要事項

因為 wiki 使用子頁，翻譯者可能遇到下述問題。

假如存在下面兩頁：

1. Development/Tutorials
2. Development/Tutorials/Debugging

並且你打算翻譯(1)為德語（尾碼de）。

翻譯結果應該是

3. Development/Tutorials_(de)

(2)的英語版本使用相對 wiki 連結，比如 /Debugging。翻譯(3)中的 Debugging 可能會導致

Development/Tutorials_(de)/Debugging      # 錯誤，或
Development/Tutorials_(de)/Debugging_(de) # 錯誤

這是錯的。

基本原則是，語言縮寫應該出現在文章的最後，那才是正確連結

所以請確認你將文章各處的連結修正為使用絕對路徑（也就是說，wiki 連結的起始沒有斜杠'/'）。

系統管理員和貢獻者要嘗試對內容保持密切觀察，但是對於外語來說這很困難。最好能夠加入監視列表（只要點擊監視）。這樣在文章修改時你會收到郵件。這能幫助保持 wiki 整潔，比如說，防止垃圾文章（spam）。很不幸，這經常發生。
