I've been coding using Qt for a few years now. Nothing too fancy, but I've produced a range of desktop applications which have combined elements of boost graph library with KDE marble and OpenStreetMap. More recently I have been contributing to a C-based open source project (the subsurface dive logging application). That's been particularly good for seeing just how much can be achieved by using other 3rd party libraries, such as openssl and libzip, for example.
