KSlots

A lush (preferably highly customizable) 5-reel slots game...

Since freesots.com is about the best ones I know that you can use in Linux outside of wine... A KDE slots game (more interested in the engine to the game) with game features, that lets you use custom graphics... Scatters, Free Spins, Modes and mode triggers, Paylines vs Reels, and more...

A default one based on Poker sounds like a fairly good idea. But a few other built-in themes (essentially "different" games), and the flexibility to design your own (with generic mode features)...

Of course a 3 reel "classic" mode (8 paylines?) might useful too...

I would love to work on something like this; unfortunately paytable math is pretty complicated even for just a three reel machine, not even counting the bonuses and free spins and such. Ideally it would be nice to be able to set the payout percentage to different things and experiment with how it affects your winnings (which would be instructive as to how slots really work; see how a 98% compares to a 95% to a 92%). But to start off with someone needs to calculate a "fair" (100% payout percentage) paytable and then that gets multiplied by the payout percentage to produce the actual paytable. Is there a mathematician that would be willing to work out all of that?Scott5114 19:26, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
