Talk:Schedules/Is KDE 4.1 for you?
It appears to me that some of what was said is too political.
The simple truth is that the Plasma project is late, very late. I presume that users know that this happens with software projects and would understand this explanation much easier than political rhetoric that tries to put the best face on a bad situation.

>KDE 4.2 is currently scheduled for release in February 2009.
My first thought is whether any of these missing features are going to be added before then.

- I'm not sure what you mean by 'too political'. What content do you expect from a page like this?
- From my understanding of the communications that I've seen, these features won't be added before 4.2 to kde trunk. However distros are likely to make some changes before deploying to users, as the OpenSuse release shows.

Hello! Since I've been working on the Plasma FAQ, which covers more or less part of what it's being written here, I think that the content of this page should be somehow merged (or made complementary) to the FAQ, so that we avoid duplication of effort. Opinions?

- Feel free to add a link to that page. Your page is plasma specific, whereas the intention of this page is to be KDE 4.1 specific. I'm aiming for something clear to point at for early adopters (generally with beta packages). The hope is that if this is clear enough, certain people (dot commenters) will know whether they are really ready to use KDE 4, whether they should wait for KDE4.2, or whether they should wait for their distro to release supported packages.
