AFAIK one of the goals of Marble(http://edu.kde.org/marble/) is to provide a timezone chooser (see http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdeedu/marble/USECASES?view=markup). Cloose 15:39, 21 January 2008 (CET)

oh cool, I didn't know they'd specifically considered it. some people had mentioned that marble might be good for this, but I hadn't yet investigated whether it'd be suitable... I have no idea how lightweight marble is, whether or not that's even an issue, etc...
