Why the name LokaRest? It was still available, has a determined symmetry between the syllable representing the local side and the one representing the service side, has a certain Spanish slang sound to it in honour of next year's Akademy location, and it has a non-intrusive K in it. LokaRest is a convenient framework for accessing RESTful services within KDE applications. It supports asynchronous operations and caching and fault tolerance to a certain degree.
LokaRest source tree in SVN as part of the webtech module.
Why the name LokaRest? It was still available, has a determined symmetry between the syllable representing the local side and the one representing the service side, has a certain Spanish slang sound to it in honour of next year's Akademy location, and it has a non-intrusive K in it. That's as good as it can get, right? :)
