Just pasting in something taken from Getting Started that made it work for me, not listed elsewhere

  • This will compile qt for you, or you can configure it to use system QT
  • When you choose a branch
    • edit your .kdesrc-buildrc
      • set your branch
      • you will have to tweak the kdeSupport module description, and maybe the qt-copy. For the kdesupport module: module-base-path tags/kdesupport-for-4.5

Are you sure you got the right person?

On some distros (for example Arch) kdesrc-build has problems building some modules because /usr/bin/python points to /usr/bin/python3. I worked around the issue by compiling these modules manually with the cmake flag -DPYTHON_EXECUTABLE=/usr/bin/python2. Could there be a mention of this somewhere, along with a suggested fix? I don't know if my solution is any good.
