Συνίσταται να έχετε τα ακόλουθα στο ~/.gitconfig: 

[url "git://anongit.kde.org/"]
    insteadOf = kde:
[url "ssh://[email protected]/"]
    pushInsteadOf = kde:

για να μπορείτε να ανακτάτε από τους anongit servers, αλλά και ανεβάζετε στον κυρίως git server.
