If I'm not mistaken you have started translating a page by copying the English, then changing each paragraph. This doesn't work with the Translate system. The system tracks changes in the English page and alerts the translator when he needs to update his pages, so it's important to do it using the system.
The first step is to use the link in the navigation panel "Get a Translator Account". Once that is activated you will see that some pages have "Translate this page" in blue above the title - if you need to translate a page that doesn't yet have that, please ask for it to be prepared.
Using that link you can see a list of messages (paragraphs) for translation. It is not necessary to do a whole page at once - you can quit at any time and come back to the page. I hope that helps. The system automatically creates the page for the language, in this case "Getting_Started/tr" - and you can use the first translatable message to create a Display Title, "Başlangıç_İçin". Please ask if there is anything you don't understand.
I'm sorry for that inconvenience and thanks for the notification. Since I was away for a while I forgot that I should use the translation tool. Again, thanks for the notification.
Hi! I, in advance apologize if I disturb you. However, I need to request some kind of help for a problem similar to the one you mentioned in your previous private message. If it does not make any trouble, would you mind to reset ALL Turkish pages I arbitraily created or edited/translated on-page without using the translation tool?
I would appreciate if you help me do the translation as required by the procedures.
Yes! I'll re-translate them not to confuse the readers of Turkish langauge :) Even I'm confused when I returned to go on translating.
If I'm not mistaken, I created a redirection page also, in order that the page titles such as "Welcome to KDETechbase", "Getting started", etc. could be in Turkish too. I'll be glad if you remove those.
And before you carry out the removal, I shall also get a confirmation. This removal process will not have effect on my translation account, will it? I mean can i continue translating, using the translation tool?
Don't worry about it - I'll sort it out, hopefully tomorrow, but Monday at the latest. I think you will get a message that they have been removed, rather than before they are removed, though it's always possible to pull them back if I make a mistake.
Your translation account will not be affected at all. Just use the "Translate this page" links and you'll be fine.
I've removed the three redirect pages, http://techbase.kde.org/index.php?title=Development_(tr) http://techbase.kde.org/index.php?title=Getting_Started_(tr) http://techbase.kde.org/index.php?title=Welcome_to_KDE_TechBase_(tr)
I think it remains to remove http://techbase.kde.org/Ba%C5%9Flang%C4%B1%C3%A7_%C4%B0%C3%A7in http://techbase.kde.org/KDE_TechBase_Geli%C5%9Ftirici_%C3%9Css%C3%BCne_Ho%C5%9Fgeldiniz
Is that correct? (Sorry, I can't persuade the wiki to let me copy the names as they appear
)
I note that you have used the same naming scheme for the templates Warning and Note. Could you change these (and references to them) to the compliant naming scheme, i.e. Warning/tr and Note/tr ?
Yes those links you mentioned are the ones to be removed. However I couldn't get the last thing you asked. Am I supposed to create a new template just like in:
http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/tr
under the language bar it says "Template:Warning/tr".
Is that what you asked?
(Very very sorry for the trouble. I'm not so good at working on wiki. I may have caused more trouble than the amount I contributed)
| Hızlı bir başlangıç için: Ne yaptığınızı bilmeksizin başlamak için sabırsızlanıyorsanız, doğrudan "Bir Yapılandırma Betiği'nin Kullanılması" bölümüne geçebilirsiniz, fakat öncesinde bu belgelendirmeyi okumanız şiddetle tavsiye olunur. |

" I'd like you to go to http://techbase.kde.org/Template:Note_%28tr%29 and copy the content into Template@Note/tr, then point the page to that. After that we can delete Note_(tr). The same procedure for Template:Warning_(tr) to Template:Warning/tr.
Don't worry about a thing - there's always a learning curve and I'm happy to help you. The quality of what you are doing is more important than quantity - time will take care of that :-)
