Just seen that there's something on the way regarding the QQ protocol (see [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tencent_QQ]): http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdenetwork/kopete/protocols/qq/

I think kdelibs now has a better approach on handling proxies. Could kopete make use of that so one is able to run it behind corporate proxies that allow CONNECT to remote servers on port 443 (most do)? Gaim and Licq can do that already (I only tried ICQ/Oscar).
