Talk:Development/Guidelines

From KDE TechBase

utility of this page?

this page has two types of information on it: links to external standards and guidelines. of the guidelines, only one is still relevant (the CIG) the rest are all outdated at this point. the external standards are not exhaustive and i really do wonder if this is the best place to store such a list of standards or even what the point of doing so is?

i'm not sure where the guidelines could go, but having this page for one set of up-to-date information is a bit silly IMHO. eventually we should hopefully have 3 sets: CIG, HIG and AG ('a' for accessibility). any thoughts on where they should appear are welcome, but right now this page is not representative of kde4. --Aseigo 03:50, 20 February 2007 (CET)

I talked usability guys in #kde-usability and asked them to take a quick look over the HCI. They said it is pretty much outdated but it contaions some valid points. As new documents are being made they should replace this stuff. So where to put it? - I think the guidelines can stay there but agree that the page does not contain much useful information... hm... --Dhaumann 12:24, 20 February 2007 (CET)
