KDE is proud to have participated in the Google Summer of Code programs in the years 2005 and 2006. We have mentored a total of 48 projects and students, from various parts of the world, who have worked in many parts of KDE.
Google has announced the 2007 edition of the Summer of Code program. KDE plans on participating again.
Student inscription will start on March 14th and will last until March 24th. We are not accepting submissions yet, but we do recommend potential candidates to start working on their ideas.
For the 2007 edition:
To find developers, we recommend the mailing list of the KDE project you chose. Failing that, the email@example.com mailing list is a general way for new developers to communicate. The KDE Summer of Code mentors and administrators can be reached by the generic email address firstname.lastname@example.org.
