For the makeobj script, you can either install kdesdk from the repositories or just download http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/trunk/KDE/kdesdk/scripts/makeobj and copy it to either /usr/bin or $HOME/bin (providing $HOME/bin is in your PATH).
