    With Solid, KDE developers will be able to easily write applications with hardware interaction features. All the necessary abstraction to have
    cross-platform applications is already done in Solid. And even better, it is all wrapped in a nice and comprehensive API. This will facilitate the usage of hardware features in the KDE desktop and applications.
