概述

SIP用于产生Python扩展模块，用于到C/C++ 类库的绑定。原来是用于产生Python到Qt绑定，它也是创建Qwt和KDE类库工具链的一部分。

新的基于SIP的绑定机制是源于现存绑定机制，allowing an established hierarchy of classes to be extended with new ones in an interoperable way. KDE和Qwt的绑定都是基于Qt绑定的。
